For Clients:

I am Lara Boyd. I consider myself a Portrait Artist specializing in (but not limited to) Newborn, Children, and Conceptual Photography. I approach each session with the outlook of providing timeless touching artwork for each client to be viewed for many generations to come. I provide a variety of artistic post processing methods with each session, including dreamy or ethereal effects, vintage, black and white, color pop, and textured pieces. Each moment in time portrays a different mood and I try to play off that when deciding what effects work best for each image, however, my client proofing gallery does give the option of having any image converted to black and white.

First I would like to make it clear that I am not trying to become rich and famous, and I am not trying to do a thousand sessions a year. I prefer fewer clients so that I can focus my total heart and soul into each and every session and then focus just as much artistic post processing afterward. I am not in it for the money or largest client base. My clients become like family to me, and for me that is so much more important than anything else in my photographic journey. If I didn't have children of my own to support, I would probably do it for free, that is how much I love it! BUT... I do, and I can't. So until Nikon starts giving me all my camera equipment, Adobe gives me free copies of Photoshop, the photolab starts giving me free prints, the post office gives free shipping & supplies, and my babysitter starts watching my children for free, I will charge what I feel is both affordable and somewhat compensative.

With that being said, I also understand that some families just don't have $200 to drop on "photos". But let me remind you that it's not just "photos" you are investing in... it's the art and the memories, which are actually priceless :) AND.. I do work with people in installments ahead of time if needed.

All my detailed pricing and session info can be found on my official website (link below)...

I say "give it two weeks" for your gallery to go up because while I may get most images finished in a matter of days, I think it's very important to step away from the session and come back a few days later with fresh eyes. Some of my very best images have come to life this way, so please please please be patient :) It will be worth it, I promise! You simply just cannot rush art. There is so many time consuming factors that go into photography and I think it's important to educate my clients. Professional photographers are NOT your standard Sears or WalMart photos and we cannot be compared with it by any means. For a breakdown of all that we really do behind the scenes, please click HERE.
